Anne Hill was the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Avery Dennison Corporation. from 2007-2020.. Avery Dennison is a global materials science company specializing in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of labeling and functional materials. Headquartered in Glendale, California, the company employs more than 32,000 employees in more than 50 countries. Reported sales in 2019 were $7.1 billion. 


Reporting to the CEO, Ms. Hill was responsible for providing overall leadership to the company's global human resources organization and setting the global HR Strategy for the company. This included leadership and organization development, succession planning, performance management, training, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, HRIS, and diversity and inclusion.


Ms. Hill sat on the Corporate Executive Team and is a member of Avery Dennison’s Foundation Board of Directors.

She is also a member of the board of directors of StepUp, a non profit organization focused on helping girls from under resourced communities fulfill their potential to become professional women. 


She is a member of the Board of Directors of the HR Policy Association (HRPA) and heads their global initiatives. She also sits on USC’s Center for Effective Organization advisory board. 


Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Ms. Hill served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Chiron Corporation, a global biotech company based in Emeryville, California. Prior to that, she spent 13 years with Baxter Healthcare, a bioscience and medical company. 

Ms. Hill began her career with the John Lewis Partnership, a large British retailer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Ms. Hill holds joint UK and US citizenship and currently resides in Manhattan Beach, CA.
